TNA going live, adding a Hogan

Dixie Carter takes "Hogan Knows Best" to heart- today, TNA announced Brooke Hogan will be taking over the Knockouts division.

"I have really gotten to know Brooke by working with her on her music career this past year and a half," said Carter. "When we did talk wrestling, I not only loved her passion and knowledge of it, but the fresh, creative ideas she would come up with. She is very savvy. I asked if she would consider teaming up with me in this capacity while she also worked on her music, and I was thrilled when she said ‘yes.’ A big personality runs in her genes, obviously, and I know she is going to take an already exciting division of Impact Wrestling to another level."

Brooke's official title will be Executive in Charge of the female wrestling division. I must admit that during her family's reality show, I thought she had great raw wrestling ability and thought she had a better chance of being top second generation wrestler than her brother, Nick.

According to another press release issued earlier in the day, TNA will air live from Universal Studios in Florida throughout the summer starting May 31 (no end date listed) at their new time slot of 8 to 10 p.m. That means, of course, if you take a vacation to Orlando this summer, you won't be seeing your episode of Impact two weeks later...
