Pin up strong
Ironically, on the day Natalya and Beth Phoenix will wrestle each other on SmackDown, Kelly Kelly is released from her contract with the WWE.
On Twitter, Kelly (aka Barbie Blank) said, "Had an amazing 6 years with wwe (sic) made great friends and have the most loyal and amazing fans in the world thanks for the never ending support... Have exciting things in the works can't wait to share them with you stay tuned."
Kelly was never a great wrestler (you know, like Beth and Natalya), but got the WWE a lot of press with various Maxim cover shoots. Perhaps instead of trying to "pin up strong" she'll focus on her strength, modeling as a modern day pin-up.
She started off on WWE's version of ECW as a dancer in Extreme Expose. All three members later became champions-- one, Miss Tessmacher, in TNA-- and Layla is only one remaining in the WWE.
(By the way, rumors were that Beth was leaving in October. She denies they are true...)
