Orton suspended

Randy Orton won't be seen again until Summer Slam. WWE.com announced today that the third-generation superstar was suspended for his second violation of the Wellness Policy. The suspension lasts 60 days.

He was suspended twice in 2006, but one was not considered a Wellness Policy violation, even though Orton reportedly admitted to being caught smoking marijuana backstage.

Does Orton get special treatment because he is an Orton? And what happens now with yet another major star out of the picture for a while?

I, for one, fear the upcoming three-hour Raws and Smackdowns... how many times can they replay Cena/Big Show/Laurinaitis talking during the first 20 minutes of the show? I think I'll DVR the shows, and start watching a hour behind so I can fast forward through all the filler...

The end of Jericho?

If you are tuning in to Raw tonight to see Chris Jericho, you'll be disappointed. Jericho is suspended for 30 days for a disrespectful act toward the flag of Brazil during a show in Sao Paulo on May 24.

According to WWE.com, a flag somehow got in the ring, and Jericho reacted by crumbling it up and then kicking it. Local law enforcement stopped the match in which Jericho was facing CM Punk, and gave Jericho the opportunity to apologize, WWE.com said. If he hadn't apologized, Jericho would have been jailed, the report said.

After Jericho apologized to the fans in attendance, the show continued without further incident.

"It was a bad move," Jericho told WWE.com. "I did it with (our) fans' entertainment in mind and I'll accept the consequences for that."

Coincidentally, Jericho's band, Fozzy, goes on tour in the United Kingdom starting June 6... Could this whole suspension thing have been staged? Were the law enforcement officers actors? Is this why WWE worked so hard to get to Brazil after issues just getting there?

TNA going live, adding a Hogan

Dixie Carter takes "Hogan Knows Best" to heart- today, TNA announced Brooke Hogan will be taking over the Knockouts division.

"I have really gotten to know Brooke by working with her on her music career this past year and a half," said Carter. "When we did talk wrestling, I not only loved her passion and knowledge of it, but the fresh, creative ideas she would come up with. She is very savvy. I asked if she would consider teaming up with me in this capacity while she also worked on her music, and I was thrilled when she said ‘yes.’ A big personality runs in her genes, obviously, and I know she is going to take an already exciting division of Impact Wrestling to another level."

Brooke's official title will be Executive in Charge of the female wrestling division. I must admit that during her family's reality show, I thought she had great raw wrestling ability and thought she had a better chance of being top second generation wrestler than her brother, Nick.

According to another press release issued earlier in the day, TNA will air live from Universal Studios in Florida throughout the summer starting May 31 (no end date listed) at their new time slot of 8 to 10 p.m. That means, of course, if you take a vacation to Orlando this summer, you won't be seeing your episode of Impact two weeks later...

Time is up for Cena, wife

About two months ago, The Rock jokingly sang about the status of John Cena's marriage after he was shown kissing Eve in a backstage scene. Today, The Miami Herald reported Cena has filed for divorce from Liz Huberdeau.

Cena and Huberdeau were high school sweethearts who have been married for about three years.

The former champ's wife is not taking this lightly- she has hired the same lawyer who allegedly won Linda Hogan 70% of Hulk Hogan's assets.

According to the Herald's report, Cena is worth over $18 million and has a prenup which allegedly allows him to take back all gifts and presents.

Check out what The Rock says starting at 5:06...
