SD: Beat it

After she and Edge gloated about what happened at Survivor Series (if you still don’t know, check out my “Updated: Hardy Threat?” post) and Jeff Hardy, Triple H and Vladimir Kozlov individually came to the ring to retaliate, Vicki Guerrero announced all three possible contenders would have Beat the Clock matches to determine who would be the #1 contender for the WWE championship.

After some discussion by the refs at the conclusion of the final match, it was determined Hardy and Triple H pinned their opponents in the same amount of time…

Michelle McCool has been having problems with her partners lately—first Maria, now the Bella Twins. The highly competitive over-achiever either is letting the title get to her, is turning heel or will have a steroid problem storyline.

I don’t think I will tire of the DX holiday shopping commercial if they play it until holiday week. Jingle bells!

Next week: Steel Cage Match- Undertaker v. Big Show

SD Results (11/28):
Beat the Clock for #1 Contender- Jeff Hardy v. The Brian Kendrick, Hardy in 12:13
Bella Twins and Michelle McCool v. Maryse, Natalya and Victoria, Maryse pins Michelle
Beat the Clock for #1 Contender- Vladimir Kozlov v. Matt Hardy, time expires
Jesse and Festus v. The Miz and John Morrison, Miz and Morrison DQ’d
Beat the Clock for #1 Contender- Triple H v. Shelton Benjamin, Triple H in 12:13

Wrestling Gift Guide

Thanksgiving Day is here, so it’s time to start checking off our holiday shopping lists. Here are a few gift ideas for the wrestling fans in your life:

For Dad
He turned on the TV Saturday mornings and introduced you to the world of professional wrestling. Thank him by getting him one of the WWE Classic Superstars action figures. There’s Captain Lou Albano, Killer Kowalski, Tatanka, Bobby Heenan, The Genius Lanny Poffo and many more. They are available in most stores that sell toys.

For Mom
If Mom is a hardcore wrestling fan, get her a DVD of her favorite wrestler, or the Best of Raw DVD. If she’s a cook, you have to get her JR’s Original BBQ Sauce – it is so good. If she will sit through a Pay Per View to humor you, get her the 25th Anniversary of Wrestlemania 2009 Calendar. Besides the basic days of the week and holidays, the calendar includes events, history and trivia, so Mom can learn a little about the WWE and maybe she’ll have something more than Randy Orton’s abs to comment on during Wrestlemania this year.

For your girlfriend/wife/mistress
You could get her her favorite superstar’s shirt, but you don’t want her wearing another guys shirt right? Instead, let her know she’s a diva to you and get the WWE Divas baby tee. Or, if you think she’s a knockout, get the TNA Knockouts Ko De Lis T-shirt. Warning: WWE women’s clothing runs a little small (I guess it’s juniors sizing or something), so you may want to order up a size. I don’t know about TNA women’s sizing.

For your husband
The Triple H Hammer T-Shirt. It’s unlike any other wrestling shirt. It’s awesome. Please, please, please get it. Or the Sting Fireworks T-Shirt.

For your best friend
Smackdown vs. Raw 2009. TNA iMpact video game. Then you get to play it, too.

For your brother
Either the TNA Logo Hoodie or the DX Illustrated T-Shirt. Or both.

For your sister
If she doesn’t already own it, get the WWE Raw Greatest Hits CD.

For the child
Any wrestling action figure, or if you want the “awesome” response, get one of the rings for the wrestlers to “compete” in.

For the baby
Go to Spencers in the mall. In the baby onesie area, they have a DX onesie with a pacifier and the words “Suck It.” At last check, it was on clearance.

For your home
If you hire a decorator or have a wife, she may want to have a matchy theme throughout a room or the house for the holidays. Well, for those of you not that lucky, I have decorating theme for you- green and black. That’s right, a DXmas! The tree is already green. Just get the DX stockings, Santa hat and all the DX and Triple H and Shawn Michaels ornaments at wweshop.com. Place a WWE Divas Snow Globe (they are pillow fighting) on the mantle. Wrap your gifts in plain green wrapping paper. Oh, and to dress up for dinner, instead of throwing on a sweater, vest or combination of the two (sweater vest), go for the DX Merry DXmas shirt over your button-down shirt or turtleneck. If you celebrate Hannukah, there’s even a DX yarmulke you can wear.

Happy shopping!

Raw: McMahons collide

Sibling rivalry exploded Monday night as Shane and Stephanie McMahon collided on Raw. As the two fought each other to announce matches for night, Stephanie told Shane, “This is my show… You can run the corporation, I’ll run the show.” To which Shane replied, “Is what your really saying … you’re going to sleep with another WWE Superstar and get yourself another husband?” Stephanie promptly slapped him.

“You want to run Raw,” Shane said. “I’m going to watch you run it right into the ground.”

Truthfully, unless we see more of the Stephanie we saw last week, I really don’t think Stephanie could run the show into the ground even if she tried. Stephanie really does bring something to the shows, whether she is a valet, wrestler or general manager. Shane is exciting to see in the ring, but I really think his sister is a better all-around performer.

Mr. Kennedy returned to promo his movie (Behind Enemy Lines: Colombia), but was not in action. Melina, however, did compete in her return to Raw.

Raw Results (11/24):
The Miz and Morrison v. Shawn Michaels and Rey Mysterio, Mysterio pins Miz
Intercontinental Championship Tournament, Round 1 Match: Kofi Kingston v. Kane, Kane disqualified
Triple Threat Match for #1 Contender: Chris Jericho v. Randy Orton v. Batista, Jericho pins Orton
Santino Marella v. Goldust, Goldust pins Santino
Intercontinental Championship Tournament, Round 1 Match: CM Punk v. Snitsky, Punk pins Snitsky
Jillian, Katie Lea and Beth Phoenix v. Mickie James, Candace Michelle and Melina, Melina pins Katie

Next week:
Kane v. World Heavyweight Champion John Cena
Intercontinental Championship Tournament, Round 1, continues: Rey Mysterio v. The Miz

Key WWE injuries/absences:
Evan Bourne: dislocated ankle and torn deltoid ligament, return in up to 4 months
Mr. Kennedy: dislocated shoulder early August, return to action unknown

UPDATED: Hardy Threat?

Jeff Hardy was allegedly found unconscious in his hotel's stairwell last night and is in the hospital. WWE is the only source reporting this so far, so hopefully for Jeff's sake, this is just for plot leading up to Survivor Series tonight.

Hardy is a contender in the Triple Threat Match for the WWE Title held by Triple H. Vladimir Kozlov is the other contender.

UPDATE: Before the show started, Hardy was out of the hospital and questionable according to WWE. During the show, it was revealed Hardy was struck.

The match started with just Kozlov and Triple H. After maybe 15 minutes, Vicki Guerrero announces, "He's here!" and Edge comes out as the new contender in the match. Hardy arrives shortly after, attempts to hit Edge with a chair, but gets Triple H instead, Edge spears Hardy and Edge pins Triple H. Edge is the new champion...

SD: Commercial break

Commercialdown, you know, that show the WWE airs on the Friday before a Pay-Per-View, was briefly interrupted by a show at about 9 p.m. The Manchester, England fans finally roared when Triple H executed a spinebuster on Jeff Hardy. And, then, back to our commercials.

In fact, the “main event” they were promoting all night wasn’t even a match. It was Undertaker giving Big Show his “last rites.” In other words, a promo for their casket match at Survivor Series. Okay, the fans did get excited again when Vicki was choke-carried into the casket, Chavo was tombstoned and Chavo was placed in the casket.

On telling apart the Bella Twins- Tazz thinks Nikki is a quarter-inch taller than Brie. I think Brie is a tad thinner than Nikki. Actually, I think I saw somewhere that one has a tattoo the other doesn’t have. Maybe I need an HDTV with a bigger screen to see it and tell them apart…

In the spirit of the Survivor Series two-hour commercial, I have a couple commercials of my own that you may be interested in:

The WWE is coming to the area next month with three shows in Pennsylvania and two in New Jersey. Trenton’s Sovereign Bank Arena will host a Raw house show on Dec. 27. Tickets range form $21 to $61. According to the arena’s website, the card (subject to change) has two matches so far- Shawn Michaels v. Kane and a Fatal Four Way Match for the World Heavyweight Championship involving John Cena, Chris Jericho, Batista and Randy Orton.

The other shows include Raw in Philly on Dec. 8, Raw in Pittsburgh on Dec. 15 (day after Armageddon), Raw house show in Hershey on Dec. 26 and Smackdown in East Rutherford on Dec. 30. The East Rutherford show is the last time WWE will be on the east coast before Wrestlemania 25.

Next week, I’ll release my top wrestling gifts for you to give your loved ones for whatever gift-giving holiday or holidays you may be needing gifts for next month.

Raw: CPR needed

Raw appears to be turning into Smackdown. Monday’s episode was a pretty boring commercial for Survivor Series. If you missed it, you didn’t miss much.

Stephanie McMahon was present, but she didn’t even put the usual spark in the show she brings whenever she shows up. She didn’t even look like she wanted to be there.

Scott Hall and Insane Clown Posse claimed they were going to “invade” Raw Monday night, just as they did to TNA at Turning Point, but there was no sign of them on air. I wish they did invade or WWE allowed it to happen (I think WWE took measures to prevent any invasions, including starting and ending the show with a ring full of wrestlers) because it would have put some life into the show.

Raw Results (11/17):
Victoria v. Kelly Kelly, Kelly pins Victoria
Batista v. Manu, Batista pins Manu
The Miz and John Morrison v. Rey Mysterio and Shawn Michaels, Miz pins HBK
Cryme Time v. JBL and Kane, JBL pins JTG

TNA: Mafia hits

Christian Cage was supossed to join the Main Event Mafia Thursday night, but instead was attacked by the group because of his rumored real-life contract renegotiations. The rumors are that Christian does not want to renegotiate because he wants to go back to WWE. His current contract expires this month. Kurt Angle announced in the show before the beat down that Christian and his lawyer had stopped negotiations.

I wonder if Edge's return has been delayed to see if Christian actually can work out an agreement with WWE and have them return together, since they did want to get Edge out the Taker storyline.

Christian is scheduled to be be working for an independent show Dec. 12-13, so it's likely he's not planning on being employed by TNA or WWE that weekend. Perhaps an surprise Royal Rumble entry is in his future...

RVD eliminates Bonaduce

I think every celebrity reality competition show must have either Omarosa or Danny Bonaduce to keep the viewers watching. However, there's only so long these volatile personalities can realistically last. Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling had Bonaduce, and this was his week to get out of the ring.

Bonaduce didn't even make it to the main event this week due to a back injury he suffered when thrown over the top rope by Rob Van Dam during practice. (Yes, RVD was a special guest trainer this week to help the celebs with their finishing moves.) An ambulance was called to take Bonaduce out on a stretcher, and he wasn't seen, or possibly heard from, for the rest of the episode. (The clips for next week show Bonaduce showing up at for practice and being asked what he's doing there...)

This week, the teams were eliminated and the main event was a Battle Royal. I had a "Whatcha talking about Willis," moment every time Todd Bridges called the match a "Battle Royale" (as in "Royale with Cheese").

SD: Hardy-monium

Smackdown started eerily with the glow of Taker's lights and a casket in the middle of the ring. The Undertaker popped out of the casket at the end of his speech intended for the Big Show. Then, Jeff Hardy appearred on the Titantron, looking a little like Sting under a black light. He proceeded to tell Taker he should focus on him instead, to which Taker responded, “Rest in Peace.”

Later on, Hardy literally jumped in on the contract signing for the WWE Championship Match at Survivor Series between Triple H and Vladimir Kozlov. Before leaving the ring, Hardy ripped up the contract in Triple H’s face.

By the time Hardy got to his Extreme Rules Match against Taker, much of his make up had worn off. Hardy watched Taker’s entrance like a fan watching it the first time, in awe. No fear, just awe.

Big Show briefly interfered in the match involving chairs, kendo sticks and a ladder. Hardy won after leapfrogging over the ladder for a leg drop on Taker. If you didn’t see it, I’m sure WWE will have the video online soon. It was pretty awesome. Afterwards, Vicki told Hardy if he wins against Triple H next week, the championship match at Survivor Series will become a Triple Threat Match.

SD Results (11/14):
Matt Hardy v. Shelton Benjamin, Hardy pins Benjamin
The Brian Kendrick v. Carlito, Kendrick pins Carlito
Divas Championship Match- Maria v. Champ Michelle McCool, Maria submits to Michelle, Michelle retains title

Key WWE injuries/absences:
John Cena: herniated disc in neck, expected to return Nov. 23 at Survivor Series
Evan Bourne: dislocated ankle and torn deltoid ligament, return in up to 4 months

Raw: New Era

Stephanie McMahon appeared via satellite to make a few announcements. First, Batista cannot have the rematch he wants because of the stipulation her brother made that whoever won the cage match would defend title against John Cena at Survivor Series. (Randy Orton later informed Batista it was his turn for the title next, to which Batista didn’t respond too well to...)

Stephanie also said long-standing feuds would be finalized Monday night, calling it “the dawning of a new era.” First, Kane and Rey Mysterio would end their rivalry with a no disqualifications match. Then, Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho would end their grudge in a last man standing match.

Is anyone else getting sick of the John Cena segments? Yeah, he’s pretty good and important to the show, but I don’t think even Hulk Hogan ever got this much love.

Raw Results (11/10):
Intercontinental Championship Match - Santino Marella v. William Regal, Regal pins Marella, Regal wins title
Rey Mysterio v. Kane, Mysterio pins Kane
Batista v. Cody Rhodes (Rhodes stepped in for Orton to prove a point to him), Batista pins Rhodes
Women’s Championship Match – Beth Phoenix v. Mickie James, Phoenix pins James, Phoenix retains title
Chirs Jericho v. Shawn Michaels, Michaels counted out (JBL did interfere)

Key WWE injuries/absences:
John Cena: herniated disc in neck, expected to return Nov. 23 at Survivor Series
Evan Bourne: dislocated ankle and torn deltoid ligament, return in up to 4 months
Edge: in Hell (rumored to be returning soon)
Mr. Kennedy: dislocated shoulder early August, return unknown
Melina: broken ankle, expected to return late November/early December

WWE releases three more wrestlers

The WWE must feel really good about their upcoming crop of wrestlers, John Cena's return, or they are feeling the pains of the economy and cutting back. Smackdown's Kenny Dykstra and ECW's Elijiah Burke and Lena Yada were released of the contracts on Nov. 10.

SD: Seeing Double

In the first main event of Smackdown, there was a sort-of rematch from Raw, with Jeff Hardy replacing Shawn Michaels. This time around, Miz and Morrison won after Triple H and Hardy were disqualified when the ref caught Hardy attacking both opponents with a folding chair. I think we should start calling The Miz and Morrison “Team Sparkle.” Seriously, I would think it’s painful to wrestle with embellishments on my chest.

As hinted to earlier in this blog, the big reveal of Brie Bella’s twin sister, Nicole, finally occurred! After Brie pinned Victoria in their match, she tried to escape an attack by Natalya by crawling under the ring. However, Natalya grabbed Brie’s legs and pulled as Victoria quickly got to the other end to grab hold of Nicole hands and pull. Tazz wondered if she was Elastigirl, and then Natalya and Victoria pulled hard enough so we got the reveal. Brie and Nicole then identically beat up the BFFs.

Jeff Hardy interrupted Undertaker and Kozlov’s main event match by striking Kozlov first with his folding chair and then Undertaker. Hardy then requested an extreme rules match against Taker. (By the way, since Kozloz was struck first, he is still undefeated.)

Allegedly, Edge was backstage (He lives in Tampa, and SD was down the interstate in Orlando.) He is reportedly coming back when Undertaker is fully engrossed in a new storyline so Edge won’t need to be involved with him.

**Taker v. Big Show – Casket Match – Survivor Series**

SD Results (11/7):
R. Truth v. Shelton Benjamin, Benjamin pins R. Truth
Ezekiel Jackson v. Jimmy Wang Yang, Jackson pins Yang
MVP v. The Great Khali, Khali pins MVP

Key WWE injuries/absences:
John Cena: herniated disc in neck, expected to return Nov. 23 at Survivor Series
Evan Bourne: dislocated ankle and torn deltoid ligament, return in up to 4 months
Edge: in Hell (rumored to be returning soon)
Mr. Kennedy: dislocated shoulder early August, return unknown
Melina: broken ankle, expected to return late November/early December

WWE releases three wrestlers

The WWE did a little house cleaning this week releasing Super Crazy on Wednesday and Paul London and Chuck Palumbo on Friday. No futher information was given, except that the WWE wishes all three the best.

EC-Dub or EB-Dub?

Once again this week, Jack Swagger taunted Tommy Dreamer on ECW, but this time, he brought a trash can and a kendo stick to the ring with him. Tommy ended up making use of the weapons after Swagger talked too much trash, which I am hoping leads the folks at ECW to give us what we want - an extreme rules match between the old lion and the young .. well, whatever.

ECW was not that exciting, as most of the air time was devoted to Ricky Ortiz beating a nobody and the main event between plodders Finlay and Mark Henry. This was like watching two rhinos battle for a piece of steak on NatGeo, and it was not must-see TV. Finlay did win and earn a title shot next week thanks to an assist from Hornswaggle and a certain piece of wood.

But, for the sake of the show, get well Evan Bourne, who may be out for as many as four months. And please, give us Dreamer in an extreme match, or this will be Extremely Boring Wrestling.

Not-So-Perfect

On Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling this week, the celebs got to through Jimmy Hart's costume collection to find their personas, but didn't find much on their own. This reaction upset Eric Bischoff because they acted like wrestling is "some sort of joke."

Todd Bridges went through many personas (which impressed Trishelle--ex-girlfriend of The Miz, by the way-- she thinks the man who played Willis Jackson on "Diff'rent Strokes" can act in any role), but showed up at the ring as "Mr. Not-So-Perfect."

The not-so-perfect one on the last episode, however, was Erin Murphy (Tabitha on "Bewitched"). She was told to get of the ring over Nikki Ziering because she looked lost at times during the match. I'd be pissed if I were Erin because Nikki (the Playboy model) always looks lost...

Raw: New Retro

The 800th Monday Night Raw was full of retrospective clips, featuring our favorites from 1993 to today. The first episode had Vince McMahon and Macho Man Randy Savage announcing, Bobby Heenan trying to get in the building and Shawn Michaels wrestling.

Shawn Michaels is still wrestling, and, no, boys and girls, he is not yet 50. After doing their duty to get verbal and visual revenge on the Miz and Morrison pre-match, DX allowed the younger team to dominate for a little bit, including a sweet chin music by Morrison on Triple H followed by a “suck it” taunt. However, it was DX who was the victor, with Triple H pinning the Miz after a pedigree.

The Undertaker also had match in the first and 800th episode of Raw. In the latter, he got to face a pretentious JBL.

The stretch limo carrying Shane and Stephanie McMahon (and what sounded like a small child) did arrive at the arena, but Stephanie deferred to her brother to take care of business.
Before Shane could even say what he had come to Raw to do, GM Mike Adamle met him and Randy Orton in the ring.

“This job corrupts, and I don’t want to let that happen to me,” Adamle said before resigning from his position as general manager of Raw.

After Adamle left the ring to the sound of rousing cheers, Shane explained he found out Orton had been cleared to compete for weeks, and decided to give Orton a match against CM Punk.

Adamle later confronted Stephanie and told her she was the reason he resigned—he was apparently selected by Shane to be GM, and Stephanie has reversed every decision he’s made. I smell an epic McMahon battle to be concluded at Survivor Series…

In related news, Shane announced the World Heavyweight Championship would be defended against John Cena at Survivor Series.

Also, there was a dancing interlude in the ring featuring Kung Fu Naki, Hornswoggle, Boogieman, Goldust, Dusty Rhodes, Sgt. Slaughter, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Lillian Garcia and Michael Cole, interrupted by Ron Simmons’ “Damn!”

Raw Results (11/3):
The Hardys v. MVP and The Brian Kendrick, Matt pins MVP
Battle Royal for Intercontinental Championship Match next week (DiBiase eliminated Manu and Rhodes), William Regal wins by eliminating Ted DiBiase
Vladimir Kozlov v. Bret “The Hitman” Haas (Charlie Haas dressed up as Bret Hart) Kozlov pins Haas
16-Diva Tag Match, Beth Phoenix pins Mae Young
CM Punk v. Randy Orton, Orton DQ’d when DiBiase interferes, Orton kicks DiBiase’s head
Undertaker v. JBL, JBL counted out, Taker wins (HBK tosses JBL back in ring so Taker can finish him off with tombstone)
Kane and Mark Henry v. Rey Mysterio and Kofi Kingston, Henry pins Kingston
World Heavyweight Championship Steel Cage Match Chris Jericho v. Champ Batista, Jericho climbs out of the cage and wins championship

Key WWE injuries/absences:
John Cena: herniated disc in neck, expected to return Nov. 23 at Survivor Series
Evan Bourne: dislocated ankle and torn deltoid ligament, will be re-evaluated later this week
Edge: in Hell (or Florida, promoting SD on My Network TV)
Mr. Kennedy: dislocated shoulder early August, return unknown
Melina: broken ankle, expected to return late November/early December

Lashley making MMA debut

Former ECW Champion Bobby Lashley will make his MMA debut for the Mixed Fighting Alliance's "There Will Be Blood" Dec. 13 in Miami. His opponent will be Joshua Franklin. The MFA was created in 2004, but is just now becoming a reality as promoters in South Florida.

After being released from his contract from the WWE in February, Lashley started training for MMA and eventually signed with American Fight League in June. However, a month ago, AFL decided to stop their operations until 2009 and is allowing their fighters to fight in other organizations until they start up again.

Stevie Richards goes to school

Former WWE and ECW Superstar Stevie Richards, whose real name is Michael Manna, will be an instructor at the Connecticut School of Broadcasting. His class will be "PODCAST Now!" a continuing education workshop on Nov. 22.

According to the college, Manna is an "experienced reviewer, podcaster, writer, producer and contributer for all aspects of technology news."

Manna, as Richards, held the Hardcore Championship 22 times. He was released from his WWE contract Aug. 15.

Ann Curry can't get enough of Vince McMahon

Vince McMahon appearred on the Today Show Thursday morning to promote Raw's 800th episode. During the outdoor segment with Al Roker, Amy Robach and Ann Curry, Vince called WWE "reality television, sort of, kind of," when sort of asked if it was like soap operas and scripted. Hmmm.

Roker noted that the WWE has a lot of female viewers and McMahon attributed that to the spandex and the physiques of the wrestlers. This prompted an impressed Curry to start feeling Vince's physique.

See the segment here.

Bourne injures ankle

According to various Internet sources, Evan Bourne has a torn deltoid ligament and a dislocated ankle. No reports yet from the WWE, so I'm not sure how reliable this information is.

He injured himself while springboarding off the top rope out of the ring onto his opponent during his ECW match which aired Tuesday night. It's a shame because Bourne was on the fast track to becoming a big star, and this injury could set him back.

I'll update you as soon as I have more information...

Update 11/3: According to our sources, depending on the severity and how fast he heals, he could be back in one week or out for 4-6 weeks. Bourne will be re-evaluated later this week.
Update 11/7: WWE says Bourne is expected to be out up to 4 months.

Scouting 'Geriatric' X

Miz and Morrison are trying to beat D-Generation X at their own mind games, clearly with an eye to take their place as the most entertaining tag team in and out of the ring.

These two guys are charasmatic, and they are even pretty funny, but their little skits are nothing compared to half the stuff Shawn Michaels and Triple H have pulled over the years.

There may never be anything as funny as the DX boys imitating Vince and Shane McMahon.

Here is the link to the video of that hilarious night.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCowDQaA_hQ

In any case, the Dirt Sheet isn't half bad, but it is no certainty that Miz and Morrison can take DX's place as not only the best tag team, but the top entertainers in the business as well. First of all, they need a tag team name. Every great tag team has a name, so they better start brainstorming something.

As for Monday's match, it should be a high-flying contest, but the fans want to see DX come out on top in the end. The answer to the question "Are you fifty?"is no, neither HHH or HBK is that old. But they won't be around forever, and truthfully, Michaels has defied a broken back to add more than six years to his career. Fans should cherish these rare opportunities to see DX in action. Like the Undertaker, DX is rarely beaten "fair and square," and unless there is jackassery afoot, HHH and HBK will have two words for Miz and Morrison...

Get better.

Tommy Dreamer

ECW is hardly what it used to be. In the Red Mask's humble opinion, it has been turned into Tuesday Night Heat in a lot of ways.

I would be shocked if Tommy Dreamer was happy with what ECW has become. He would be happier going through flaming tables and being hit with barb wire bats in rundown gyms in North Philadelphia. Still, Dreamer has stayed in the business and worked hard to use his name to get younger guys over. On Tuesday night, he wrestled a terrific match with Jack Swagger, a young punk who looks like the next coming of Chris Nowitski.

Swagger got the win, but Dreamer wrestled his butt off like he always does. I would like to see Dreamer get a chance to wrestle in some extreme matches and get a crack at some of the main event superstars. He has earned that right and he deserves a lot of respect for sacrificing personal glory for trying to build up the roster.
